Today (July 23rd 2008) we attended the Festival of Sail in San Francisco andwatched the parade of tall ships sail in under the Golden Gate Bridge. It was quite and event and there were a number of photographers taking pictures. There were 32 tall ships in all and of course the lead ship was
the USCG Eagle which is America's tall ship. It has been over a decade since the ship last visited San Francisco. We were excited to see the ship as our son had sailed on her as the Public Affairs Officer on the East Coast where the ship can normally be found near her home port in Connecticut where the Coast Guard Academy is found.
