Well, I'm honestly not sure how to summarize the Amanda-affirming days I spent in Denver with my mom... certainly I feel like I've hit the high points in my previous posts. So I thought I'd put the trip in the context of my overall journey as a TG. So here goes...
I'm finding that this journey of self-discovery occurs in lurches rather than steady progress, and this trip found me crossing many thresholds that had seemed so distant just a few weeks ago:
- I "met" mom. It was wonderful.
- I finally felt like *myself*. It was magnificent.
- I got an amazing makeover. It was flabbergasting.
- I finally made it into the public eye. It was... yes, (insert synonym for "awesome" here)!
I'd have never guessed that this 3 day trip would see me coming so far along my journey, but that's part of the magic and the beauty of the unique road we're traveling as TGs, I suspect. And to have shared so much of this road with someone so special has been nothing short of breathtaking.
If you've taken the time to gander at my photos, thank you. If you've taken the time to read my narratives, thank you! And if you've felt like you've been able to share even a small part of the journey with me, THANK YOU for joining me! I sincerely hope that the rest of the road will be as sweet, though I remain cognizant of the fact that parts of it will be rocky. And to those of you who've helped blaze the trail for the rest of us to follow - you have my eternal gratitude and admiration.
All my love to you for your support! I've said it before, but it bears repeating: We've an amazing community. I'm so lucky to have found you all!
Kisses,
Amanda
