Heading for the islands to the North. I met up with a paleontologist who was mad enough to try to reach the island with me by outrigger canoe. It was 80Km away through open seas. We failed and we got wet!

This was shot on the Bangka outrigger canoe on the way back to Timor after we decided it was far to rough. We tried again the following night with no success. I had to go all the way back to Kupang to get a bigger boat! The same water and sunset features in my new website banner.

I hate the Harbours here in Indonesia. There so full of, well, big hassles!
When the boat docks, all the people try and get on before the passengers can get off. This guy is sitting where the 4000 tone Awu is about to dock (with a crash)
