Am 06. August 2024 wurde auch die RB 59098 von München HBF nach Nürnberg HBF außerplanmäßig statt mit einem Twindexx-Triebzug mit Lok und Wagen gefahren. Für diesen Dienst war die 111 168 eingeteilt, die mir bisher nicht vor die Linse gefahren ist. Die Lok hat ihre Karriere bei der S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr gestartet, war allerdings auch eine Zeit lang in Bayern stationiert. Aktuell gehört sie zum Bestand von DB Gebrauchtzug und war zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt an DB Regio Bayern verliehen. Ich konnte sie am besagten Tag kurz nach Verlassen des Esslinger Eisenbahntunnels fotografieren. Man beachte den dynamischen Fahrradfahrer im Vordergrund.
On 6 August 2024, the RB 59098 from Munich main station to Nuremberg main station was also run exceptionally with a locomotive and coaches instead of a Twindexx multiple unit. 111 168 was assigned to this service, which I had never seen before. The locomotive started its career with the S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr, but was also stationed in Bavaria for a while. It is currently part of the DB Gebrauchtzug fleet and was on loan to DB Regio Bayern at the time the photo was taken. I was able to photograph it on the day in question shortly after leaving the Esslingen railway tunnel. Note the dynamic cyclist in the foreground.
