I don't order many prints for myself (I shoot way too much and I'd go broke), but I have this one sitting in a shopping cart with the lab. Thinking a 30x15 would look really nice in one of my rooms. This image is not photoshopped. I took a series of 3 Dunlin in the water and in this one frame the symmetry was just too perfect. The middle one is head on and the other 2 are just peering in at almost mirrored angles. The one bird is a hair out of focus but the image overall was just too strong for me.

A break from warblers today to share an image that I was really stoked about. In my head I have images that are "documentation," "shareable," and every now and then I get a "printable" because I think it would like nice printed and framed. This Snowy Egret, captured in the wetlands of south Jersey last week falls into the "printable" for me. In the minutes just after dawn, you can see the breeze kicking up his breeding feathers. This is probably my favorite Snowy Egret portrait to date.
