30:52 Bicycle Parts – you can shoot the whole bike or whatever part you like.

I know I'm cheating a bit here, but I took so many shots of bicycles for this theme and just didn't come up with anything good. So Otis and Fleur to the rescue! Here they're just finished a long bicycle road trip, so tired they're hanging their heads, and the bikes they rented are obviously not their size. Next time, they're going in the VW van for sure!

51:52 Peace

For this second last theme of the year…peace…I have photographed Otis and Fleur again in a festive setting.

For me, the holiday season is about peace, giving and forgiving, and inner joy. I don't want gifts for Christmas - what I want is world peace. I know that's asking a lot, and I don't expect it to happen, but we can start small. We can smile at others as they walk by - just a smile will often melt a heart and make someone's day. We can accept others as they are, even if they are completely different from us. We can respect others, because each of us expects to be respected. We can be positive, and live each moment to its fullest, as we really don't know if it is our last. And we can love without expecting anything in return. I believe that all these things will bring inner peace, and that's a start. It's not easy, but it's a goal to work towards.

Rumi said, "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there.

That's my philosophical post for the year….

I found Fleur! She seems to have been in hibernation for much of Covid. When I woke her up and told her there was light at the end of the tunnel, it was time to party! They even got dressed up :)
