I went to Deep Cove to photograph last week. It was a beautiful calm day and exactly what I needed.....

Deep Cove in North Vancouver is another one of my go to places for photography. In late autumn and winter, there is often fog, and the rest of the year the boats are bobbing on the water and the view of the mountains in the background is always a bit different. I am so lucky to live so close to the ocean and the mountains.
For those of you who remember the red life guard chair, this is the same location :)

I have shot this iconic red lifeguard chair at Deep Cove many times, but I keep going back. It's a bit more moody in the early morning winter fog. We didn't get the snow that was forecast, so keeping my fingers crossed that it will just stay away. Meanwhile, we are still in below freezing temperatures.

51:52 Silhouettes

I had an entirely different plan for this theme, but after seeing how the tree was silhouetted against the fog at Deep Cove, I decided to use this one instead.

I will be mainly off until after Christmas. We are going out of town for several days for our first family Christmas get together this weekend. But I will post once more before Christmas and will check in when I can :) It's a busy time of year and a time that, I hope, brings you joy and peace!
