Centrepoint in Sydney is a focal point, still the tallest structure in the city, with the building of the tower beginning in 1975. The height of the tower is 309m /1014 ft.

We enjoyed a meal at 360 Bar and Dining on level one of the tower, which offers revolving views of the Sydney skyline.

The golden structure sits atop of the tower. Access is by three high speed lifts. The lifts travel at full, half or quarter speed, depending on wind conditions. At full speed the lifts reach the deck in 45 seconds.

Designed by Australian architect Donald Crone. Public access to the tower began in September 1981.
