Sadie (number 1) is a Springer (or English) Spaniel, she acts like a puppy, but was actually 7 years old. This is probably the prettiest dog I have seen, I mean, you'd have to be there, but the way she looked, was unreal. She swung her head around like a professional model when I asked her to. (I caught her mid-swing with her hair flying!) heheheh Her eyes were a beautiful clear brown, and the whites of her eyes were, well, very white. She was very playful and was having a really good time playing around the ducks and geese that are plentiful at White Rock Lake in Dallas. Taken last Friday at White Rock Lake.

Sadie Number 1 is the second dog that day, and the only dogs that I took shots of and both were named, "Sadie"!

Not only that, but both dogs had the exact dog bone name tag too, each saying, "Sadie"... Strange! (Two completely different owners too)

Sadie number 2 is a young and full of energy little Beagle that came by and visited with a few of us that were taking pictures at White Rock Lake on Friday. She was with her owner, a skateboarder, who was letting her run around (and kicking up dirt!) to check out all of the ducks and geese that were everywhere. She was a really beautiful dog, I'd love to have her.
Shot in Dallas, Texas.

Sadie Number 2

This Egret was busy preening, so it really wasn't too concerned with me there, I did take my time in creeping up to not startle him though.

I used my Canon 2.0 extender (vIII) to make this shot, I was 50 feet away, I was just seeing what it'd look like, it's been a while since I used it. (Along with my 400mm lens, making it 800mm)

(Ardea alba)

This Red-Shouldered Hawk was being chased by the Kestrel on the next page, and also the Crow on the page after that. (2 Crows actually) That is how I saw the Hawk...
This was taken at White Rock Lake in Dallas on a cloudy and very windy day. I say that because earlier in the day when I was shooting ducks and Pelicans at Sunset Bay, it was really nice. (It was super cold though) Had this been on a nicer day, or, slightly hazy, the light would've been (possibly) better, but I was pretty happy with this, I'm not complaining. :) (It was actually getting really cloudy, at this point) Fall colors were out, that is a rarity in my shots. :) By the time I get back there the leaves will have fell, I would imagine.

This male Kestrel was chasing a Red-shouldered Hawk around, that's how I found the hawk... (Thanks, Mr. Kestrel!)
It's very hard to get close to these, and even though it was on a VERY windy and TOO cloudy of a day, I'm happy to have gotten it, especially on an actual limb.

Taken at White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas...
