37069 with 37667 head south at Badgeworth with 3Z14 0931 Derby to Cardiff Canton (Pullmans). A massive clearance of lineside vegetation has made this shot just about passable again, although some further work is still needed. A rare bit of sun on an otherwise dull day shows part of The Reddings, Cheltenham and the Cotswold Hills can be seen in the distance. 1st February 2017.

After arriving into Gloucester New Yard on Friday with a rather late 4V03 from Crawley, 66746 had spent the best part of the weekend there. So when I saw that there was a 0G66 1230 to Bescot, my hopes were raised, and the loco allocated was confirmed (Many thanks to TS). Here we see Belmond Royal Scotsman liveried easing through Hatherley, Cheltenham on 0G66 and running 20 mins early. Sunday 1st December 2019.

This has to be one of the workings of the year - certainly around this area !! D1015 'Western Champion' had run l/e to Avonmouth earlier this morning to 'pilot' 66719 'Metro-Land' on 6M42 0920 Avonmouth to Penyfford cement and are seen here at Prout's Bridge, Haresfield. D1015 would be removed at Gloucester New Yard and then return to Kidderminster (0Z50 1158 departure). This was a Mainline test run for the Western prior to it being used on forthcoming charter work.
