Wow! I have been away from Flickr for a long, looooong time... I am so sorry for not posting anything, but I was very busy studying. I am planning to go back to Flickr and build some more stuff.

When I was building these models, I kept a few things in mind. First of all, I didn't want the models to become too big, mostly because of the amount of parts and money they would cost. Secondly, I wanted both to fit minifigs. Both models do fit 2 minifigures (in the A-6 without helmets unfortunately) but it's really cosy in there. And finally I didn't want to build the cockpits myself, but rather use larger windscreen pieces. This is why the cockpits may look a bit inaccurate compared to the real aircraft.
I don't use any blueprints so some proportions are probably wrong, but I don't really mind.

Some features of the models are retractable landing gear, Folding wings and the arresting hooks for landing on aircraft carriers.

I started building the F-4 in navy colors inspired by Ralph's navy Phantom. I enjoyed the color scheme so much that I really want to make more navy aircraft. But before I'll start building other jets, I want to build a US Navy Sea King.

I hope you really like the aircraft as much as I do and let me know what you think! Also, suggestions for a possible next aircraft (I prefer navy aircraft, like the s3 viking, e1 tracer, A-4 Skyhawk or other aircraft) are really appreciated!

Enjoy!

Ps. Credits to some builders on the internet, I took some inspiration from a lot of builders. Also, I am missing just a few pieces, like the black antenna on the F-4 that should be grey.

So I thought I'd upload this picture of what I've been building lately.

Actually I started building an E-1B Tracer, but after trying and trying I decided to build one some other time. I also started building the sea king, but that one's still going!

Next to some small updates to the F-4 Phantom, I really wanted to make another aircraft. I already had the idea for the nose area for the A-7 which is why I decided to build one. It's still missing some pieces and I really need to make some weaponry (for all of them actually).
The tow tractor was just a sidebuild but so much fun figuring out how to make it and I think it turned out great.

For the future, I am planning to at least finish a helicopter and hopefully it's the Sea King I am working on. Next to this, I want to build some kind of scenery for the aircraft, because I think it would be nice next to them. Right now I have my eyes on building just the flight control tower of an aircraft carrier, probably from the USS Midway, after it was upgraded around 1970 (not sure though). Another option is building a mobile deck crane, also used on carriers.

Anyway, I hope you like it and let me know what you think in the comments! As always faves and comments are appreciated, enjoy!

Ps. Credits to multiple builders for inspiration for the A-7, but mainly Ralph S, check out his photostream, thanks!

Here's a teaser for my new, completely rebuild A-6!

It still needs a little bit of work, but I like it way more than my last version!

Let me know what you think and as always, comments and faves are really appreciated!

Ps. Sorry for the bad photo as always lol
