Here it is, the new version of my BR 56.20. After the last update, I still wanted to change a couple of things, some dimensions and details. I ended up almost completely rebuilding the model, giving it a different width.

Clear overview of the loc. I changed small details along the boiler and cabin. The cabin is now one plate lower, resulting in better proportions. You can also see the half plate offset above the first driving axle. In real-life, this transition is smooth.

Sideview of the model. Although I am still not 100% happy with the connection between the tender and engine, it is slightly better than before. It can no longer run through R40 or R56 curves though... But that is not really a problem for me anymore.

In order to be able to add more details, I changed the width of the model. Instead of 8 studs wide, the model is 8.4 studs wide (8 studs, 1 plate). This was more accurate to 1:45 scale and allowed for more depth in the sides. Especially the sides of the tender improved a lot and I am really happy with how it turned out, it was quite the puzzle to figure out!

Next to the BR 56.20, I built a BR 80. These are the only MOCs I made in past year, but I think they look pretty nice together! Now on to the next project and some landscaping!

The models are built in 1:45 scale and instead of the standard 8-wide trains, they are 8.4 studs wide (8 studs, 1 plate). This allows more details and depth in the sides of the models. Now the question is: should cars/wagons also be 8.4 studs wide?
