In this image you can see how big the turret actually is, overhanging quite a lot. It also shows the engine deck, with the characteristic Leopard 2 vents. They are slightly more recessed into the hull of the tank, to accomodate a little bit more protection.

----

Underneath the deck, 2 of the 3 circuit cube motors are located, each powering a track. In front of those is the battery, which controls all of the motors. It can be easily switched on and off from underneath. Recharging requires a bit more work...

Although I already uploaded photos of this MOC on Instagram, I decided to post it here as well. Although these are slightly different photos.

Here, the features on top of the turret, like stowage area, RWS, hatches and smoke launchers are clearly visible.

This next gen main battle tank is based on the German Leopard 2. It has slightly improved features such as APS, improved protection, and engine. A crew of three, commander, gunner and driver, is positioned in the turret. The commander has his own thermal/nightvison sight and can also relay information to infantry through a small screen on the back of the (which is stowed away in the photos).

Early warning sensors are located around the tank for detecting incoming projectiles or drones. Of course, there is a Remote Operated Weapons system on the roof of the tank to counter infantry or drones.

-------

Yeah, it's finally done! This tank was so much fun to build. It is able to be remote controlled: it drives around pretty well and the turret can rotate. Making everything easy to access and look nice was quite the challenge. But I think it looks great!

It features:
- remote-controlled tracks (powered by 2 motors)
- bogey suspension (I did not have the space to build independent suspension, unfortunately)
- Rotating turret (powered by one motor)
- rechargeable battery and bleutooth unit for control from @circuitcubes
- opening hatches for driver and commander
- munitions storage in the back of the turret

I took some inspiration from several builders but mostly from Aleksander Stein on Flickr. His Leopard looks so good.

Let me know what you think! Photos and films of the features are coming in the next couple of weeks!
