My first render! and the first time building something completely digitally and ordering parts accordingly.
The examples for the builds are the muldenkippwagen Ommi 51 (ep.III) and an open goods wagon Omp "Ludwigshafen" (ep.II).
The muldenkippwagen Ommi 51 was a successful design in a series of trials to find a wagon that could be easily unloaded and was introduced in the 1950s. By 1970, 3.905 wagons of this type were made. It was tough to keep the build within the proper scale, unfortunately, this meant that some details got lost.
The Omp Ludwigshafen was a Bayern design and introduced in 1905/1910. They were made completely from steel and almost none of the cars survived WW2.
Parts for 2x the open goods wagon (500 parts per car) are ordered and I will slowly accumulate the pieces for the muldenkippwagen (400 parts, but way more expensive). So expect to see some IRL builds of these two in the future! It is the first time I am happy with some of the freight wagons I designed. The ones I did build IRL, are just not really it, they feel a bit unpolished. These builds were quite challenging and to my surprise there is almost no free space left in the interiors.
My plan for now is to design more freight wagons, especially with some more color variety! Then I can combine them with my now finished BR56.20 and completely rebuilt BR80 ;)
Some bars that should be cut from flexible hoses are still missing :$
