I believe this is a male Rock Pigeon, aka Dove, as his iridescence is pronounced and based upon his behavior, I assume he wanted to be a father. As common as they are, that does not diminish their beauty, especially when in flight. Taken at Wakodahatchee recently. (Columba livia) (Sony a1, 200-600 lens @ 209mm, f/5.6, 1/3200 second, ISO 1600)
