Driving along the south coast of Oahu as you begin to head north, an overlook is just off the road and worth the stop. It can be crowded throughout the day, but we were there early in the morning, and had the place to ourselves. Lighting was better then too!

Looking towards Kailua. A failure to veer to the right at this point of the trail allows you to made it down the mountain the fast way! The scenic Pali Highway can be seen winding down the mountain on the right.
