The hike up the valley was wonderful in and of itself, but upon reaching the end of the trail, Manoa Falls awaits as a reward and a nice place for a rest to enjoy the view. The Manoa Falls trail is popular not only because of the falls, lush vegetation and mountain views, but because it is so close to Waikiki, making it easily accessible. The falls themselves are about 150' high.
It was while I was trying to photograph Manoa Falls that I discovered something exciting (for me anyway). I really don't have fancy cameras. I have two point and shoot cameras - one that allows manual settings, which I like, and another that allows underwater photography. Neither has HDR settings. Anyway, while I was her @ Manoa Falls, I discovered my "lowly" cell phone camera has an HDR setting! (I probably should have "read the manual", but what fun is that?). This allowed better pictures in the uneven lighting of the rainforest. Without the HDR, I could not get a blue sky AND the waterfall to have the lighting I desired. So, on my hike back down to my car, I packed away my other two cameras, and played with my cell phone HDR setting. What fun!

The people visable at the bottom of the picture give some scale to the height of the waterfall.
