The Advertiser (Adelaide), 26 June 1950: About 300 people attended the ceremony when the Mayor of Woodville (Mr. P. M. Ryan) unveiled a memorial clock outside the Woodville Town Hall yesterday. Mr. Ryan said the clock was a memorial to men and women who served in both wars. It was erected by the Woodville City Council. The clock has the words 'Lest we forget' on the dial in place of numerals. The Rev. John Hughes, of the Alberton Baptist Church, conducted a dedicatory service. Mr. M.J. Moten acknowledged the clock. During the afternoon the Hindmarsh Municipal Band played.
