The local Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal people cut this canoe out of the river red gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) around 400 years ago.

The tree was attacked by a racist in December 1998, almost killing it.

The church was built in 1867 for George Tucker, an early pastoralist of the area.

Really only the shell left. Lots of pigeons have taken up residence.
