Built in 1859 by John Dunn.

The 11 m waterwheel was affectionately known as Old Grumbler.

In 1909 the mill was gutted by fire and was rebuilt. Fire again struck in 1947 but this time damage was contained to the third floor.

The Bridgewater flour mill ceased operations in 1956.
