It is currently closed and boarded up.
My great-great-great aunt and uncle, Mary and John Bailey were the first owners of the Angel Inn. The South Australian Gazette and Colonial Register of Saturday 23 March 1839, records that John Bailey held a General Publican's Licence for The Angel Inn, Gouger Street.
The family lent their name to Bailey Street which runs alongside the hotel.

Recently given a massive facelift.
