Farmhouse destroyed in 2015 Pinery bushfire.
Significant damage was caused to numerous communities across an 86,000 hectares (210,000 acres) area in the local government areas of Light, Wakefield, Clare and Gilbert Valleys, and Mallala. At least 91 houses were destroyed or rendered uninhabitable by fire damage during the Pinery fire

St Paul’s Lutheran congregation was formed in 1902 and their new church was built in 1909. In 1953 they sold the church to the Anglicans and it became St Bartholomew’s Anglican Church. This former Anglican Church is now a private residence.
