The Wilcannia Post Office and Telephone Exchange, along with the two-story Post Master’s residential dwelling and accompanying stone outbuildings, were designed by Colonial Architect James Barnet in 1878, with construction completed in 1880.

Built in 1898. The pub's timber veranda with cast-iron balustrades and a lacework balcony is 100 metres long and is reputedly the longest cast iron veranda and balcony in Australia.
