There’s something truly special about finding someone who gets you—someone you can share yourself with, fully and authentically. Someone who doesn’t just support your dreams but goes the extra mile (or miles) to make them happen because they know how much it means to you.

This was one of those moments! I was on my flight back to Seattle when Evelyn texted me about an incoming aurora display. Before I even had a chance to respond, she had already taken care of everything—figuring out the logistics, arranging for me to take a train from the airport to a meeting point, and bringing all of our gear. After a long day in the OR, she picked me up from the station, held a board meeting on the drive up to Mt. Rainier… all so we could chase the lights and create memories together.

Love isn’t just about grand gestures—it’s about showing up, embracing life’s moments, and choosing each other every single day. We have truly found soulmates in one another, and for that, I couldn’t be more grateful.
