Just got back from a five night stay in Majorca. It's the first time we've been birding there. Got four lifers, including this Night Heron. It was a difficult shot as it was over the other side of the canal and as you can see, it was obscured by reeds on my side of the water. I was happy to get the shot though! Taken at S'Albufera Natural Park.
Also known as a Black-crowned Night Heron.
