This Great Reed Warbler has a very distinctive, loud song. It was perched on top of a reed, calling out loudly for a mate. It is a large warbler. Taken in the Costa Blanca, Spain.

You hear a Great Reed Warbler long before you see it. Their song is very distinctive: loud and raucous with a frog-like quality!
They are large, almost thrush-sized warblers. This one was taken in the Costa Blanca, Spain in May.
