As we were sat on a log in a wooded area, this little Wood Mouse came scurrying past us and paused just long enough for me to get this shot. They have very long tails - longer than their bodies!

I have finally seen the elusive water vole at RSPB Saltholme!! I was beginning to think it was just a mythical creature, as it has taken me about 5 years to finally catch a glimpse of it. So, although it isn't fully out in the open, it is a lifer shot for me, so I am very pleased with what I got!!
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.
