Honey Fungus (Armillaria mellia) is a common woodland fungus seen in late summer or early autumn. It grows in large groups (tufts) often at the base of ill or dead trees. As the fungi ages its cap opens out to a floppy thin umbrella.

This is a huge Cauliflower Fungus (Sparassis crispa) about half a meter across seen in pine woodland in 2003. These huge brain-like fungi can grow even larger. They usually grow at the base of a tree or off of buried wood.

Conifer Tuft fungi (Hypholoma capnoides) grow in autumn in woodland. They are found on dead wood like fallen tree trunks. Similar to sulfur tuft but more attractively shaped.

Ramaria invalii is one of the white coloured tree-structured fungi that are similar to the common yellow Stag's-horn fungus. Found in pine wood floors and growing on buried tree and root wood.
