This great tree can be found in my local park which is flooded at least once a year, usually more, but every spring it keeps coming back to life.

One of three ancient yew trees found in the Borrowdale valley in the English Lake District. There used to be four but sadly one died after a recent storm. William Wordsworth mentions them in his poem 'Yew Trees' written in 1803. This tree is thought to be around 2000 years old.

Taken from the ruined bothy at Lamberton Skerrs. The bothy was built in around 1760, the cover story being that it was for the fishing industry but it was also used for smuggling items like tea!
