A shot taken looking up at the impressive mountain range
which stands between Fljotsdalsherad and the fjord of Borgarfjordur Eystri. It took around 2.5 hours to reach here maybe longer especially after taking the wrong route and having to do some rather sketchy sliding down a steep slope to get to the valley bellow, just a pity we were not able go here when the light was good but both night here dense low cloud moved in and you couldn't see anything at all.

Sunset at around 11pm on a eerily quiet and calm Jökulsárlón Lagoon, barley a breath of wind on the lagoon which is unusual for here.The lagoon here is the deepest lake in Iceland and reaches depths of 800ft.

A aerial panoramic shot made up of around 40 shots merged together taken around 11pm after a cloud inversion engulfed the whole valley Fljotsdalsherad and Borgarfjordur Eystri only the higher mountains remained clear including the Dyrfjoll range.
