Rufus can be tricky to photograph, because he's very friendly and frequently approaches me for pats. I do give him good pats, of course, as well as gentle scratches on his sides and rump.

Will has dug himself a little bid in the dusty dirt, and much of it has settled into his fur. Dust clouds arise when I pat him.

The dry dirt is visible in this photo of Slim. The Boston area hasn't had rain in a month, and the ground is parched. We may get precipitation over the next few days, though.
