Just an experiment. This drone video was shot in Ásmundarnes, Bjarnafjörður, Strandir, Iceland. I'm not super slick with the camera moves yet, but it was cool to see this.

A drone video of my favorite waterfall in Strandir, Goðafoss in Halladalsá River in Bjarnarfjörður. Then I followed the river a bit upwards and you can see pretty clearly the changing of the seasons (except it was warm and rainy today so all that snow has probably melted).
I'm pretty pleased with this video, except the ending which is kind of abrupt because I mindlessly flew the drone too far and lost the signal with the remote controller in which case the drone stops and returns on auto-pilot. But I even went through the trouble of a little editing and inserting music which works all right. Enjoy :)
EDIT: I just realized the video cuts short at 3 minutes which is probably the limit for flickr, the full version is a little bit longer and you can see it on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5u_89vr9kVA

Pros of being in a small village, I'm not too concerned about my drone getting hit by a firework and I won't choke of pollution and my dog will only be stressed for about an hour. Bring on the new year!

As impressive as the northern lights can be, sometimes the beauty is closer to the ground. I know this short phone video doesn't convey properly how beautiful it was but it's an idea.
Sparking snow in -8°c at Lake Eilliðavatn. It would have been more visible if there had been some moonlight but I don't know if I could have caught it in a still photograph. I swear there is no filter on the video!

Last from february 24th. This is a video (just a regular video, not a time lapse). Came out ok, if a little grainy and my focus got distracted by some carlight. But still pretty cool.
We are now potentially expecting a volcano erruption cose to the capital and while of course I don't want anyone to get hurt or any properties to be damaged, I wouldn't hate seeing a volcano erruption with my own eyes (and photograph it! :D )
