On the grounds of the Goa Gajah temple near Ubud, Bali there is a beautiful ancient Ceiba tree with spreading aerial roots reaching over the rocky ground. It is standing in a river valley below the Elephant Cave and it's wearing a faded ceremonial scarf. It was quite dark under the tree, so a tripod was necessary to steady the camera to get the high f-stop needed for the depth of field I wanted.

Throughout Newfoundland one can see recycled plastic Adirondak chairs placed in scenic locations. I found this chair in a sea of yellow dandelions and placed the chair against a background of Bonne Bay with the Gros Morne tablelands in the background, with their patches of snow. The yellow chair and dandelions make a cheerful contrast to the grey skies on a cold cloudy day.
