This is one of those classic mid-century slips. Seamprufe made this one, but it's similar to other basic yet stylish slips of that era. Crystal pleats on the hem distinguish this one, but so many others have this too. The amazing thing to me is how, after so many decades, these pleats just continue to ....well....pleat! You might say, they compleat me. (sorry for the intentional misspelling. Look, I'm pleating for forgiveness).
Seriously though -- what process and/or chemical did they use to force those pleats to stay pleated for so long? And are they safe for humans to wear for long periods of time??
