This picture was in my archives, so easy to find. Have to create more though!

This satin half girdle and longline bra are probably from the 1950s. I bought both from European sellers. They made truly outstanding lingerie in those days!

I think it would be fantastic to stumble upon a vintage suitcase with some fine clothing from a bygone era. Actually, I wouldn't like to literally 'stumble' upon it, lest I sprain an ankle or worse. But you get the point.
Sure it would probably smell a bit musty from all the years tucked away with no ventilation. But a fresh cleaning would restore them and bring back their luster. Here I'm holding a fine rayon gown made by the Juliana Lingerie Co., circa 1948. Smallish line of lingerie, but distinctive. One of my true treasure pieces.

I love reading the old lingerie ads from the 50s and 60s. Put on the right bra and --Voila - you can become 'a temptress'!!
