I visited this church mainly to see the famous paintings by Titian in the sacristy. The taking of photos is not permitted; I shall have to be content with the reproductions on the covers of CD's and the ones in books.
The church is full of Marian symbolism - the great dome represents her crown, the cavernous interior her womb, the eight sides the eight points on her symbolic star. (Wikipedia)
