I ventured into the city to explore the south of the Yarra River on Saturday night. I was hoping for a sunset but it never eventuated. Consequently, I was disappointed in all my images from the night. Sigh. I did make some rookie mistakes and underexposed quite a few of my night shots too. I will post a few for my efforts though. ;-)

This is the gorgeous Morell Bridge over the Yarra, looking toward Melbourne town. I do love my city.

"The Morell Bridge is an arch bridge over the Yarra River in South Yarra, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Completed in 1899 by John Monash and J. T. N. Anderson, it is notable as the first bridge in Victoria that was built using reinforced concrete.

Remarkably the bridge was constructed on dry land and once completed the river was diverted to flow underneath it. The main reason the river was diverted was to prevent and alleviate flooding upstream" (the things you learn while researching your images!)
.
The bridge is in its original condition and is quite gorgeous and ornate. Well worth venturing south of the Yarra for.
