I asked the Sherpa for a title for this image and he, being silly, started reading off book titles on our book shelf. This was the second title he read out-thanks to one of our favourite authors Ian Rankin. Just perfect in many ways for this image.

The Indigofera is actually a beautiful bright pink, light as a song, but it felt right (even though I felt a little guilty) to strip the colour and highlight the darkness that feels like its suffocating Melbourne at the moment.

Though the flowers in the background are lost and confused, there remains a central strength, the heart of most Melbournians that will be there when the riotous winds begin to still.
