I recently spent a week, mostly trying to photograph seascapes. I never got a real sunset for the entire week but did get some great storms coning in. There is something hypnotizing about the ocean. No photo shoot of the ocean is ever the same. Just a memory- but for a millisecond, or for this longer exposure, closer to 30 seconds, I can capture a mash up of what was happening, allowing me to keep a memory of how I felt standing there.
Title from Bob Dylan "Don't Fall Apart on Me Tonight.

See previous post about these lightrays. I thought it would be good to view the previous image with this one that encompasses the entire scene and shows the context of those rays and that massive, blanket of cloud from which they escaped.

"The light
Begin to bleed
Begin to breathe
Begin to speak
D'you know what?
I love you better now
I am falling
Like a stone
Like a storm
Being born again
Into the sweet morning fog"

Kat Bush- The Morning Fog

Taken around Strath Creek.
Thanks for all your lovely well wishes. I couldn't stand another day of not taking any images so literally rolled out of bed, put some warm clothes on and headed up to Strath Creek to try to catch some Fog. And fog I got! It wasn't as co-operative as I would have liked but that is the nature of Fog isn't it.

It is constantly changing shape and intensity, literally in seconds with a life all of its own.

"The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall"
Sung beautifully by Eva Cassidy
