True love will find you in the end
by Daniel Johnston. Beautifully interpreted by my friend Paul.
True love will find you in the end
You'll find out just who was your friend
Don't be sad, I know you will
But don't give up until
True love will find you in the end
This is a promise with a catch
Only if you're looking can it find you
'Cause true love is searching too
But how can it recognize you
If you don't step out into the light, the light
Don't be sad I know you will
Don't give up until
True love will find you in the end

You may recall a few weeks ago I talked about my hotshot son releasing their first single. They finally got their CD of the album back from the USA a couple of weeks ago- Life Might Implore. It has had some radio play on small stations in various places overseas.
Their single-How could this be fair has had over 4000 listens on spotify and they got this unsolicited review of the song.

The image is of sunset at Cape Woolamai. The colours were amazing and I just wanted to focus in on the gradation of colour from the sand through to the sky.

I was going to call this image Lost and then An Ocean of tears. I couldn't decide so a mix is what I ended up with.
It is hard to be strong when someone is dying
and all you have
is useless tears.

Driving back over the bridge that connects The Island to the Mainland, I turned around and discovered a gorgeous sunset in the making. Despite the long drive back home, we stayed and enjoyed the scene unfolding across the water.

My late offering for The FFF+ group challenge "Five On The Fifth" (FOTF) . . . five images in the form of a collage must be uploaded on the 5th of each month, with there being a different theme, set by a member of the group each month. This month was "waves" and was set by the lovely Margaret.
Better late than never!
I didn't want to be too fancy because I love waves and one of my favourite things in the world is photographing waves at the beach, playing with settings to create different effects with the movement on the water.
Image 1 -hit by a wave. I was photographing at Cadillac Canyon at sunset, close to the edge and a huge wave came up the canyon soaking me and my blue hair.
Image 2-Phillip Island is a famous surfing spot so I couldn't resist an image of a surfer riding the waves at Shelley Beach.
Image 3- A wave frozen as it crashes against the rocks at the The Panhandles, sending it's spray over my camera and lens.
Image 4- Calming the waves with a long exposure at Bore Beach, probably my favourite way to photograph the beach.
Image 5- Background image showing the textures of the swirling waves
