Keep me in your heart for a while
Hold me in your thoughts, take me to your dreams
Touch me as I fall into view
And when the winter comes, keep the fires lit
And I will be right next you
Keep Me In Your Heart -Warren Zevon. A song to break your heart.

I was drawn to the heart shape and simple beauty of these water-lilies in Singapore.

"There are as many ways of loving as there are people, and that wildflower variety is the great beauty of this dimension of existence.”
― Rumi
These dazzling wildflowers are Russel Lupins and they brighten the landscape in parts of the South Island in New Zealand, especially around Mackenzie Country.
Tourists flock from over the world to see them when they flower (mid Nov- early Jan). They are, however, considered weeds as they are a non-native, invasive species.
This has caused a clash between environmentalists and farmers who believe the lupins are the answer to feeding merino sheep in difficult times. High Country farmers are planting them in pastures for their stock.
Sometimes it's still hard to ignore the the beauty of weeds.

This is my happy photo for today's FFF+ Snap Happy theme of "Flower". Thank you to Margaret for the theme.
It has been four years since we dug up my mother's rose after learning our childhood home was going to be demolished (full story in link).
It has thrived since we planted it and continues to provide us with beautiful, perfumed blooms even though it would be over 50 years old. It is my favourite plant and makes me very happy that it is part of our garden.
Just a smell of the perfume brings back beautiful memories of my mother in the garden.
