This evening, between about 19:10 and 19:25 hours, we had a dazzling display of colors in our eastern sky. Monsoon season always brings dramatic skies to our high desert grassland, but this evening was very special.

Progress of 4th of July Thunderstorm. Time 18:29. The rain has lightened up and moved on. A rainbow appeared to our east, lasting several minutes. The shadow on the green lawn in the foreground is cast by the sun setting behind our house.
