One of the biggest changes I have noticed since my return to the streets of Bristol is the proliferation of E scooters. Be interesting to see how this new trend develops or will they go the way of Yo bikes who recently announced they were pulling out of the city. I've yet to form any kind of firm opinion, but they certainly seem very popular, if sometimes controversial

Two lovely people I encountered today who were happy to have their photo taken in front of one of the posters on Narrow Quay. Notice the rather splendid collection of punk badges on Max's jacket check out his art work at www.instagram.com/maxmiddlewood/

The initial impression for someone alighting from a train at Temple Meads to visit the city cannot be that wonderful. To the right a huge boarded up car dealership, a row of mostly closed & abandoned shops, a petrol station that has long since served its last drop of gasoline and the George and Railway Hotel and Grosvenor Hotel or giant advertising hoardings as they are known these days. (although why I'm bothering to take this on full frame camera when the ad says all I need to do is use my iphone I dont know) As you carry on a series of bland office buildings and a Covid testing centre! I know there all sorts of complicated reasons why this area looks so dreadful, buts it's none too inspiring is it...
