My favorite hike trail, also the most challenging hike on my Rocky Mountain trip. It's a 20km one way in, one way out hike that encompasses almost 1000m of elevation gain. The last 2km is a scramble up the peak. If you want to find the secrets on the summits, here you are 😊

Anax junius belongs to the family Aeshnidae and with a length of 76 mm and a wingspan of up to 106 mm it is one of the largest North American dragonflies. It is found throughout North America as well as Hawaii and the Caribbean. There have even been sightings in Russia (Kamchatka peninsula), China, U.K., France and the Azores probably caused by strong winds which brought migrating individuals off-course. The species has a wide variety of habitats including lakes and ponds, slow flowing streams, and rivers, but they can also be found in grassland and forests.
