As Jenny lives in the Midlands, miles and miles away from the sea, we decided to take a drive out to Hornsea to the seaside for a walk along the promenade and fish and chips. Only a couple of hours andit was quite cold but we had a lovely afternoon!

We decided to spend New Year's Eve at home and I invited my friend and neighbour Trish over too, for home-made bramble crumble and proper custard made from egg yolks, sugar, vanilla and double cream - my god, it was heavenly!

Oh, and of course we forgot the bins, lol!
