The BW rendition of this scene was quite handsome, but if I am going to progress along my chosen new path of Color I must steer away from monotone and stay true to my pursuit.


My other new interest is in Digicam photography with their alluring buttery colors which are so nicely produced by their CCD sensors.


While shooting in this location I was impressed how the light was bouncing around and the Three dog night "Shambala" came to mind. "How does your light shine - In the halls of Shambala?'

Sometimes we learn from our Flickr friends and other times we learn from the Masters. This image inspired by Gary Winogrand and his image design utilizing juxtaposition as a composition tool. Finding balance and beauty in the cacophony of the streets.

Juxtaposition: colors and elements which compete with one another and compliment each other. I was photographing these two ladies in a heated debate when our neon green hero came riding in. I was lucky in how the two characters compliment one another; facing left, framed from behind, legs , arms...
And those old balloons are photo delight.

I am enamored with the buttery hues produced by these old CCD sensors.
