The days trip was a journey over to the Manchester area, the first freight we caught was GBRF 66 705 with 4M37 Drax - Liverpool Biomass. Manchester Victoria is one of 3 main stations in Manchester, Piccadilly being the terminus and Oxford Road being on the Piccadilly straight through lines that head towards Warrington, Liverpool and Salford. The station recently overwent regeneration and is now electrified which sees Northern 319 electric units working out to the west. To the east of the station is a sharp rise in gradient which can be seen towards the back of the biomass rake.
