I have been waiting for a 70 to drop on the tanks again for ages and this morning Colas Rail had rostered 70805 to take charge of 6M32 Lindsey to Preston loaded tanks. Not the best weather but the camera did well and here is 70805 about to pass through Lostock Hall station in the Preston area.

Colas Rail 70817 comes to a stop on platform 2 at Warrington Bank Quay for a crew change then proceeds down the fast line with the 6J37 Carlisle to Chirk logs. Colas Rail 78014 hits the power as it departs Dalston station with 6S36 Dalston to Grangemouth empty tanks with a nice bit of clag. The weather had held out until now but typically the shot I hoped would be the best of the day was spoilt by heavy rainfall.
