Their days were pretty much numbered when this was taken.
Having done decades of service on the railways of NSW, they were to soon be put up for sale.
4486 has been preserved and restored to operation, while 4446 went for scrap.

As impressive combo as this may be, a further 442 and 44 was added at Goulburn for the run to Parkes.
