Unfortunately on the day of our visit the horse tram was not in operation and disappointingly we could not even view the tram as it was locked up in the tram depot which does not have any visitor access. This is something that needs to be addressed.

Bradford tram 104, Bradford Industrial Museum, Moorside Mills, Eccleshill, Bradford. Friday 03 May 2019.

104 was built by BCT at their Thornley Works, Bradford in 1925. With the end of the tramways 104 became Bradford’s last tram on Saturday 06 May 1950. The tram was restored to its pre-1942 condition 1953 – 1958 and from 1960 it occasionally ran up and down a length of tram track in the works yard at Thornbury drawing current from one of the trolley bus wires for a few years. It was transferred to the new Industrial museum in March 1975.

It is impossible to take a complete ¾ photographic view of the tram as it is crammed in to a restricted space inside the museum with walls on two sides and doors on a third side.
